The Megxit has already happened. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have finally decided to step down from the royal duties. But, it may be a shocking news for the fans that they were offered a freedom from the royal duties back then when they were married, but had turned it down.

When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot in 2018, Queen Elizabeth had proposed a longer transitional period for Meghan. However, the both Harry and Meghan decided to turn down the offer and took over as the working members of the royal family right after their marriage. 

It may be worthwhile to mentioned that Meghan Markle was looking at a flourishing career in Hollywood. He had carved a name for herself in the legal drama series Suits. In fact, she was poised for a great career in the entertainment industry. 

It was just then that she began dating Prince Harry. And when he proposed to her, she decided to quit her career and become a part of the royal family. After the marriage, she had taken over and began handling the full schedule of the royal family. 

But, the extreme public scrutiny was something both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could not take any longer. After the birth of their son, Archie – his privacy began to be one of the major concerns for the couple. 

Finally, the same fate came to them – exactly what was proposed to them by the royal family two years before. By January 2020, thy decided to split from the royal family and chose to step down from the royal duties. Life came a full circle for them in just under two years.
