The West Midlands Police have found a missing 5-month-old baby boy ‘safe and well.’
Reportedly, the family of the baby boy, from Sutton Coldfield, earlier were extremely tensed and anxious. They simply wanted the infant back home without any issues.
The police had launched an appeal on Thursday at around 7:15pm to trace down a 35-year-old suspect named James Dempsey- a person who was known to the infant’s mother. Later, at about 10:15pm, the police announced that the infant had been found and that Dempsey was taken into custody on suspicion of child abduction.
The police said that a silver colour Vauxhall Astra belonging to Dempsey had been located near A45, going towards Coventry early Thursday morning.
As per reports circulating on social media, Dempsey isn’t the father of the child.
Though extensive enquiries were being made to locate Dempsey as well as the infant, the officers still asked the public to help and find the two. Both, the police as well as detectives had made an appeal to the people who were out and about to keep an eye for Dempsey.
Ian Ingram, Detective Chief Inspector who was leading the case, said that even before the two were located, he was most importantly concerned for the safety of the infant.
