Today, verified the Twitter account of Indian Army’s additional Directorate General of Public Information tweeted an image of ‘Yeti’ tracks in the snow. For centuries humans are seeking for Yeti, and now there comes a tweet which claims to have found evidence of the mythical Himalayan Monster.
As per the post which was accompanied by three images of footprints read as ‘for the first time an Indian Army mountaineering team was sited Yeti’s footprints. ‘The tweet also adds up ‘this is an elusive snowman which has only been sighted at Makalu-Barun National Park earlier.’ There were many social media responses on this tweet with many rebuking the Indian military for propagating theories earlier debunked by science. Many people poked fun at the tweet with the hashtag #Yeti becoming one of the top Twitter trending topics in India.

As per the prints, it is very clear that it measured about 32 inches by 15 inches and was spotted on 9th April nearby Makalu Base Camp, which is an isolated mountainous area amid Nepal and Tibet. As per sources, these Yeti claims generate curiosity, and this tweet was meant to excite scientific temper.
As per Army a source, this story is based on strong physical proof, photos as well as videos. They added ‘we got inputs regarding this ten days back and yet we hold on to it.’ They added that ‘photos and videos for sure will surprise you’. The army sources also claim that the photos which are evidence match past theories too. They said ‘we tweeted as we consider prudent to excite scientific temper and also rekindle the interest. Several of us who reject the story will have a definite reply to this evidence.
Earlier also there were numerous stories regarding the mystery of this abominable snowman and which were mostly based on fantastical and unconfirmed accounts of its giant size as well a terrifying howl. Several in the past have claimed to debunk such sightseeing by saying that what was observed was a bear. In 2017 also when one such report published and which claimed that the creature sighted could have three diverse kinds of bears counting the Tibetan brown bear, the Asia black bear and also the Himalayan brown bear.
Associate professor at the University of Buffalo College of Arts and Sciences, Charlotte Lindquist alleged that ‘our findings strongly confirm that the biological underpinnings of the Yeti can be found in local bears.’ There is a past study also collected genetic evidence counting tooth, skin, bone as well as fecal samples which were connected to Yeti. From museums and private collections, Artifacts were also gathered worldwide which includes a monastic relic which came up from a Yeti paw.
