On Good Friday, a man 38 years old, charged with the murder of an 87-year-old man after a fatal collision with a pedestrian along with serious of incidents in Mansfield and Ashfield.  Gavin Collins is a man who has been charged with murder, robbery, kidnap, two counts of burglary along with two counts of aggravated taking a vehicle with consent.

As per police, the car had collided with numerous other vehicles in Mansfield Woodhouse, Nottinghamshire on Friday. The man will be remanded in custody and has to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on 22nd April, i.e., Monday.

On Good Friday, officers were called at about 9.10 am to report that a car had collided with residential property. On the other hand, detectives also investigated the matter in Melbourne Street, Mansfield Woodhouse, where this collision happened and this vehicle collided with many other vehicles as well as a pedestrian.

Air ambulance reached there and attended the scene of the second incident to treat pedestrian for his injuries. Sadly he was declared dead after a short time. The arrested man has been taken to Mansfield’s Kings Mill Hospital for treatment which is not considered as to be life-altering or else life-threatening.

Detectives are working to know the circumstances of the incidents. Along with it police cordons, as well as road closures, remain in place in Mansfield Road, Worcester Street, Skegby and Park Hall in Mansfield Woodhouse.
