The new Charging capacity that charges a 4000 mAh phone in just 13 minutes!

Apart from a whole lot of features and functions that we look ahead for in a smartphone, one of the best features we would want to have a look at is the charging capacity. Of course, smartphones these days pack in a huge battery capacity ranging up to 4000 to 5000 mAh.

Vivo’s Super FlashCharge tech fills a 4,000mAh phone in 13 minutes

However, a battery with a higher capacity can be a difficult option as it tends to take longer to charge a battery to its fullest capacity.

Not any more. At least on the Vivo smartphones. The company launched a unique charging technology on Thursday and joined the gang of select few to offer a faster charging functionality.

Yes, you heard it right! That should be the fastest fast charging ever. Vivo today posted a video showcasing a new charging capacity that claims to charge a 4000 mAh phone in 13 minutes flat.

Referred to as Super FlashChage, the technology is designed to produce 120 W of electrical power. This is the best performance so far, the best till now being a Xiaomi charging technology that charged a 4000 mAh battery in 17 minutes. Xiaomi had demoed it March, and taking a cue from the compatriot rival, Vivo bettered it by 4 minutes in just under three months!

The new technology was showcased on the Chinese social media platform Weibo. There is no word when it comes to which phone will Vivo incorporate this technology. The technology may be exhibited at the MWC, Shanghai commencing from June 26.

The best so far that Vivo had was the 44 W charger that accompanies iQOO gaming phone. It charged a 4000 mAh phone in 45 minutes. The anotheer fast charger that comes close enough is the charger that comes with Find X Lamborghini Edition from Oppo. It can charge the 3400mAh in 35 minutes.

It will definitely be a game changer when it makes a commercial launch, though there is no definite word on when the technology will be made available through the commercial smartphones. It should be remembered that even Xiaomi has not launched its fast charging technology on a commercial platform as yet.

So, as of now it will be a wait and watch game, and a few things should be clear by June   26 when the brand launches the technology at the Shanghai MWC.
