A young man was stabbed and shot to death in Manor Park, east London.
The police were immediately alerted by the London Ambulance Service about a man, who was in his 20s, being attacked in Manor Park before 9:30 pm on April 8, Monday.
When the police officers arrived at the crime scene, they discovered the man suffering from severe gunshot and knife wounds, said Scotland Yard.
Though the medics tried their level best, the man passed away at the crime scene. The police officers have increased their presence in the region since the incident as a probe began. The area adjacent to the crime scene was sealed by the police and the murder investigators were informed about the incident.
Mayor of Newham, Rokhsana Fiaz expressed her deepest condolences to the family of the victim via a Twitter post.
The police officers have made an appeal to witnesses of the Manor Park incident to get in touch with them.
Notably, this incident adds to the violent crimes that have been taking place in London lately. Three teenagers on Monday were rushed to hospital for treatment after they were stabbed in the north-east London.
The police made 4 arrests and the three victims did not luckily sustain life-threatening injuries luckily, said Scotland Yard.
