Flybe cancels flights amid redundancy talks

Due to the potential job losses in the aviation field, Flybe has canceled a number of morning flights that were scheduled on this Wednesday. The Flybe Company shift the blame on the shortage in the number of pilots in the industry as well as the Company’s posted pilots are taking more holidays than usual, which is to be the ultimate cause of delay in the flight-providing services.

Although, most of the flights function within the UK, Birmingham and Belfast City Airport are among the most affected ones. The Company in a statement said that they were very sorry for the inconvenience caused to its potential passengers.

 The chief executive of the Flybe Company, Christine Ourmieres-Widener in an interview said that the aviation industry is trying its best to fill the vacancy for jobs among the existing staff thereby avoiding more job losses. She added to her statement that although the discussions about the jobs are at an early stage, Flybe is trying to take necessary actions as soon as possible.

About the delaying of the flight on Wednesday morning the company will follow all the rules of compensation to satisfy their harassed customers and is expecting to go back to normal operation of the flights in no time.
